Description | Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most common and malignant brain tumor. GBM is highly resistant to radio/chemo treatment, likely due to the prominent presence of cancer stem cells (CSC). Tumor-associated endothelial cells create a vascular niche for activation and maintenance of CSC's self-renewal and survival. The goal of this project is to develop new radiation therapeutic strategies targeting CSC and their vascular niche for treating GBM. |
