The Department of Radiation Oncology has a network of treatment sites that provide expert, state-of-the-art cancer diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment at locations convenient for every patient.  There are 7 locations in the greater Philadelphia and tri-state (NJ, PA, and DE) area which are easily accessible to major roads or public transportation.  Whether for definitive treatment or for second opinions, our doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, and therapists throughout the Network provide personalized and exceptionally high quality of care, either at your own community or at our downtown facilities.  All of our facilities have the capability to deliver highly tailored/conformal intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) radiation.  Gamma Knife and Cyberknife Therapy is available at our Pennsylvania Hospital.  Each location is staffed by board-certified University of Pennsylvania Radiation Oncologists.  The Roberts Proton Therapy Center is located at the Center for Advanced Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  Patients eligible for proton therapy, both as a single modality or as a boost in conjunction with external beam radiation, can be evaluated collaboratively at our network locations and will be given priority to receive proton therapy at Penn.
