12. UPCC 6899: This is a Phase 1 study for patients with locally recurrent prostate cancer who have previously received definitive XRT.
Pts. receive interstitial PDT to the prostate.
PI: Stephen Hahn
13. UPCC 10203: This is a tissue collection study.
We collect tumor from patients undergoing a Whipple for pancreatic cancer. The two main objectives of this study are: 1.) to prospectively evaluate activation and/or expression of components of the radiation resistance signal transduction pathway in human pancreatic cancer specimens from patients who undergo resection; and 2.) to relate the status of molecular markers in human pancreatic cancers to overall survival, disease-free survival, locoregional failure rate and distant failure rate.
PI: Stephen Hahn
14. UPCC 05503: Patients who have undergone standard platin-based doublet chemotherapy for NSCLC undergo thoracotomy and PDT.
PI: Stephen Hahn
15. UPCC 04305: a clinical trail to evaluate perfusion and metabolism within brain tumors in patients who are going to the operating room from resection of malignant gliomas.
The two main objectives are: to characterize the distributions of blood flow and tumor
choline content obtained by Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) and Continuous
Arterial Spin Labeling (CASL) in malignant gliomas., and to test the association of blood
flow and tumor choline content with hypoxia as measured by cold EF5, hypoxia as
measured by [F-18]-EF5 PET imaging and clinical status (RPA classification)
PI: Stephen Hahn
16. PCC 10304: The purpose of this trial is to (1) assess the safety of administering [18F]-EF5 to patients with brain tumors, (2) investigate the pharmacokinetics and biodistribution of radioactively labeled [18F]-EF5 and (3) to evaluate the ability of PET scanning with [18F]-EF5 to detect hypoxia within brain tumors.
PI: Stephen Hahn
17. UPCC 05901;
This is a companion study for patients enrolled on 05503 who agree to
receive pre op EF5 as well.
PI: Stephen Hahn
