Housing Opportunities for Residents
Typically, approximately half of our residents reside in the city (including Center City, West Philadelphia, Manayunk), while the other half opt to live in the Philadelphia or South Jersey suburbs.
The following is a partial list of popular apartment buildings in Center City, Philadelphia. These apartments will likely be more expensive and probably smaller than those in brownstones or smaller apartment buildings. However, you are compensated with perks like central air, door attendants, laundry facilities, and (often) parking. You are advised to visit the area you want to live in, and take note of vacancies posted in the windows.
We also recommend that you contact the University of Pennsylvania's Office of Off-Campus Living, 4046 Walnut Street at 215/898-8500 for a weekly updated computer listing of other rental units.
