Fellowship Training Program Description
The University of Pennsylvania Department of Radiation Oncology offers a Fellowship Program in various aspects of Radiation Oncology. Special expertise and training in the areas of breast cancer, genitourinary malignancies, pediatric malignancies, and neuro-oncology are all available. The program stresses a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of these diseases, and combined clinics are integrated into the training program. For those applicants who have special interests in laboratory projects, these are available in tumor metabolism, carcinogenesis and molecular radiobiology.
The Fellowship program was instituted July 1, 1997. Dr. Helaine Bertsch was the first clinical Fellow to graduate from our program June 30, 1998
